1958 Land Rover Series II

Offered for sale here is this very early Land Rover Series II, first registered on the 3rd of September 1958, it is believed to be one of only around 1,500 built for the domestic market. 

Fitted with its original 2.0 litre petrol motor with its correct specification gearbox, both of which were rebuilt as part of a sympathetic recent restoration.

Re-sprayed in its original colour, re-trimmed in ‘Elephant Hide’ and fitted with a tan canvas hood both courtesy of Exmoor Trim. This car now presents very well indeed and would make a fantastic pub steed for the summer months ahead. 

Mechanically ‘MJL434’ is in fine fettle, progress offered by the early and well sorted 2.0 litre lump is suitable and smooth, the gear change is positive and the thing stops and rides very well indeed. There’s not a great deal more to ask from a Series Land Rover!
